36 Week Appointment

Well, we went in for our appointment yesterday, and found out I'm 70% effaced, but no dialation yet. But at least something's happening, right?? We got to see the baby on the ultra sound screen, and he's doing perfect, and is still so cute! He estimated his weight at 5 lbs 8 oz, so he's in the 40th percentile (so just a little smaller than average, but I'll take that over a 10 pound boy growing in there!) He's head down, but I could have told you that from all the kicking I have in my ribs in the middle of the night =-P. I've been getting braxton hicks contractions ALL the time, and some really bad crampings paired w/ them, but nothing regular. I'll get like 5 within an hour, and then after that they'll go away for an hour, and then come back. The doctor says it's just my body preparing for the real thing =-S. So that's all the news so far! I go in next week for a heartbeat check (he says, unless he "sees me sooner!"...=-S) then the week after that we see if there's anymore progress! I can't believe how close it is...I need to go clean the kitchen floors!

Blah I feel so huge! This is 34 weeks (I'm now 35...only 5 weeks left if he decides to wait 'till the due date!)

Changing table with all the extra changing stuff we got from the shower! (SO much it seems like, but I'm sure it won't last us long!) I love the circle mirrors above the ottoman! (we were wanting to play up the circles from the bedding through out the room more, but all we ended up doing were the little mirrors, but I love them =-)




And here's Jack's coming home outfit, all washed and ready! It's fleece I think and super comfy feeling -- I want one!

So there it is! It's a small room, not much to work with, but I love it! It ended up being so perfect, and I think we did well with the small space we have.



Also--we have a final name decision! We changed the middle name to Michael, since that's DJ's first name (Kristen--or we can always tell Michael it's after his name =-))

So Jack Michael St. John, it is. It sounds so perfect to me, I can't wait to meet him!!
