Jack and Mickey, ready to go for a walk in California

That was fast...

My life is going by too fast! I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted! April was just super fast. I got to take off work for a week and go California to visit the CA Deans (Uncle Ben, Aunt Kristen, and my 3 cousins) w/ Jack and my 3 little brothers. It was a blast, and so relaxing! DJ was bummed but couldn't get off work to come w/ =-(. So, I did the 12 hour drive, by myself w/ my 3 little brothers and Jack, and it was actually not that bad!! Jack did great for his first road trip! We just stopped every few hours to let him stretch, and he was golden. In CA, we got to just relax w/ the family, go into San Fransisco to a fun kid museum, visit the lake, and visit the beach! It was crazy that Jack was 5 months old before he got to meet the CA Deans. He was a hit =-) w/ everyone. Especially my cousin Ryan, who Jack made his own personal burp rag through out the week. So that was April.

May went by way to quick also. We started looking for houses, I got a few clients for my personal training, which has been so awesome! I seriously looove being a personal trainer. It's a job I love doing, and will always love going to work! So, another May event: We've been looking and putting offers in on houses, none of them panning out to what we want. Then, on friday, we found it! Our perfect little home we were imagining. We put an offer in, and they counteroffered, then we counteroffered, now it's ours!! We have the home inspection on Monday, so hopefully all goes well, because I'm in love w/ this home. I just see DJ and I living there and having our family grow there. Perfect size for us! Pictures will follow as soon as we close, and know it's our for sure!

Gosh, Jack is growing up sooo fast! It is seriously crazy the difference every month makes. He's over 6 1/2 months now! He started sitting all by himself about a month ago, and now can sit without tipping at all! (sometimes if he gets tired, he'll tip on purpose so he can lay down). He loves playing w/ all of his toys. I'll set him in the corner of our couch, place a bunch of his toys in a pile in front of him, and he'll just sit there forever, entertaining himself w/ all of the toys, and even talk to himself. His little "dahdahdah" baby talk that I love more than anything. As much as I want him to crawl, I'm ok w/ him waiting a little bit, because I'll have to be a real mom when that happens =-). We totally got the perfect baby! He has his 2 little bottom teeth, but hardly had the fussiness that comes along w/ teething. He was whiney for a few days, but when he's whiney he just gets snuggly which I love. He loves sitting on the floor and watching the dogs run around him. Loves going to the park on Sundays, watching Nick Jr. while mommy cleans, loves playing w/ my phone, but the only thing he does not love is real food, yet. He doesn't understand that he's able to swallow from a spoon, not just sucking out of a bottle. We'll figure it out though! I got a book on making my own baby food, and am going to start this weekend - can't wait to see what he thinks of peas! Our Jack is a little sweety, and DJ and I love him more than anything! Could not imagine our life w/ out him.

Well, I wish I could go on and on about Jack, but I'm sure it'll get old to other people even though it doesn't for me! I'll post some pics as soon as I can, but things have been crazy busy for us, so don't be mad if it takes a little while =-P.

Just getting some mommy hugs!

I LOVE my stroller!! I take it running at the park almost every day, or to the mall. It is the best stroller =-)

We went up to visit DJ's Great Grandma's grave to get a picture with Jack! It was supposed to be a nice day, but started to snow =-P Gotta love Utah.

March Madness

March has been so good to us! Really, this whole start of 2011 has been great! I keep saying that there is nothing going on, but I think that's just me being lazy =-p. So, I thought it'd be nice to keep my out of state family updated on how we're doing! DJ just turned 23 on March 4th!!! (I know, I'm a bit late posting this...) But he has been amazing so I just wanted it to be recognized! He's such an amazing husband! He takes such good care of Jack and I. We never fail to have fun together, and we totally balance each other out. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and best friend to share my life with and raise our little boy with =-). He went to Vegas w/ his dad and grandpa for the weekend of his birthday, so Jack and I stayed home and kept each other company. DJ is doing great at his job as usual. He is working so hard for his family. He's picking up almost every Saturday shift, which means he's working 6 days a week. We are just so set on getting into a house once our lease is up, so we're trying to save as much money as we can! Around this time next year is when we'll be really looking for a house. We've been saving since we got married, so by then we will hopefully be where we need to be!

I got my first personal training job!!! It's at a gym in east salt lake (that's where the money is, baby!) And the couple who own it are so awesome. They are so laid back, and understanding about daycare for Jack and everything. The gym they own together has been going for about 10 years (not at the same location) and it's the best personal training job you can get without having your own business. They're going to start by feeding me clients, and eventually I'll build up my percentage of payment once I have been there and training for so long. They are totally helping me start my career by letting me shadow them and learn and ask questions. I've been shadowing on my days off at the office, and will be starting to learn how to train pretty soon! They are pretty much taking me under their wings and helping me start up my career. I am so lucky and blessed to have gotten this opportunity!

Meanwhile, Jack had finally started to discover that his hands are for grabbing things, so he was randomly batting at things we put in front of him. We had to actually put his toys in his hands for him to grab them though. Finally at the beginning of this month (which would have made him about 3 1/2 months old), I was doing dishes, and I looked down to see Jack (in his bouncer) holding his little monkey friend right up close to his face! Haha just staring him in the eyes. It was so cute. So he loves grabbing things now. His new favorite thing to do is sit. He can't do it completely on his own yet, but he is soooo close! Our little boy is so strong! He really is such an amazing baby. DJ and I could not be happier with him. He only cries when he's hungry or overtired. Luckily, we haven't had to deal with him being sicker than having a stuffy nose. He is such a happy baby, smiles all the time, and is starting to laugh! Just the cutest little baby laughs you could imagine. We are so loving being parents, and so loving life. I'll post some pictures as soon as I find time to take some new ones!

Valentine's Day Package from Grandma and Grandpa!

Whatchu doin piggy?

Just chilling with his crib buddies!

Wearing the new outfit from Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Jim!

Just a few pics for my family! Jack wearing his Valentine's Day outfit-thanks Grandma and Grandpa! Everything is going great =-) No real news to report...our lives couldn't be better! Jack is such a great baby. He's sleeping through the night, and is such a happy baby! We're so lucky to have gotten such a good little munchkin! I'm mad because I can't figure out how to upload all these videos I want to show the family! I have some of him talking to his monkey in his bouncy chair, some of us making silly noises and him laughing, and so much more! Hopefully I'll figure it out soon. Well, that's it for now! I guess no news is good news right?

Then sing with her.

End our day and fall asleep here:

Crib success!

About to go running w/ mommy!

Bright lights on his play gym have him mesmerized.

Jack loves bath time =-)

He loves using his strong legs!

Smiley!

This is how I feel when I have to do laundry too.

Well, we are all doing so great! This new years has been great for us. I forgot to post about Jack's 2 month appointment last month! It was January 21st ish, and he was weighted at 10 pounds 5 oz. It's funny because he seems so big, but then I remember that I was a 9 pound baby when I was born =-S Yeesh! He's healthy all around! DJ wasn't able to come with me to the appointment because of work, so I had to watch him get shots all by myself (luckily my friend Amy came with to calm me down, but had to stand outside while he got the shots). I didn't think it would bother me, but the whole morning before the shots, I was a mess and stressing out about them! He did awesome though. He started crying when I had to hold his arms down while they rubbed alcohol on his little legs, and then screamed with the shots. But I was able to calm him down, and he didn't get sick from them! Phew! The only concern the doc had was that we were letting him sleep in his swing. It's the only place he slept for more than 5 hours at night, and I need sleep to so I had to take what I could get! He definitely got used to it. He hated sleeping flat on his back, and is still getting used to it. We actually just barely tried his crib for the first time on Tuesday night. It did not go so well. I didn't think it was going to happen, but last night we put him in after he was put to sleep, and also put on this little doggy stuffed animal that plays timed lullabies. Oh my gosh! He was out like a light! He did wake up at 6 am to eat, but went right back down! I'm still so ecstatic about it because I honestly thought it was going to take a lot longer. Just proves again how great of a baby we got! Well that's all the news as of lately! Hope all of our out of state families are doing great!
