If blogs could have dust, you would not be able to see your computer screen when coming to our blog! Well, I've come to do my yearly dusting of the blog (Hopefully I won't wait a year to put up another post.). I decided to re-do a bit of it (including the name-it just seems to match the content better) Jack was only 7 months old the last time I posted? I definitely need to do some updating...Like the title says: This will be the post of all posts, I promise you. So I will break it into months for those who want to be updated, and you can just read a month at a time. Don't feel overwhelmed!
Looks like we left off in July.
It's going to be hard to remember what went on between now and then, but July stands out pretty well when I think about it! We bought our first house in July...it was such a frustrating process, but once we found "the one" it just all seemed to work out. We moved the weekend of the 4th (Thanks to DJ's strong friends who helped with the move, and to my dad for getting us a crazy deal on an awesome new fridge!) And although I was hoping to use Jack as an excuse to get out of it, I did help move a lot of boxes, along with the washer, dryer, and other heavy things. (Ok, DJ may have helped a bit too) It's been FABULOUS living here. going from 800 sq feet to 1200 has been amazing (Not to mention our detached 2 car garage, and 1100 sq ft attic--storage space, woot woot!) and I have had a lot of fun decorating. We still have some painting to do, but overall it is a cozy space and the perfect size for us. Our dogs are loving the fenced back yard. Probably not as much as we love it though-it get's really old having to take your dogs out on leashes every day and night at an apartment. So there you go...house=amazing!
August-Sept
I decided to start my own business: Mamas in Motion (Pre and Post Natal Fitness). I am so passionate about fitness and nutrition and being a personal trainer, and after being pregnant, and having our sweet little boy, I realized how passionate I had another passion. I want to help pregnant women (and their babies!) have a healthy and safe pregnancy, and when that baby is born I want to give them a fitness program that gets them back in to shape and allows them to bring their babies with them! I'm still training at the Next Level Personal Training gym in SLC and I am loving it. The owners are so great, and are very supportive of Mamas in Motion! It's small now (I'm teaching some prenatal women.), but I just sold almost 50 deals on livingsocial.com for 30 days of classes. I have BIG dreams for it. (www.mamasinmotion.net) What else happened? Jack started growing!
October-November
Jack got his first hair cut! We took him to Cookie Cutters and got him the $12 haircut.
Jack also had his first Halloween. Super fun. We dressed him as a dragon--love! He loved the pumpkins. Mostly DJ's pumpkin:

He cried every time we took it away, poor guy cried when we had to throw it away!
November
Jack turned 1 year old! I can NOT believe a year has gone by. We wanted to have a party at our house, so we invited Jack's grandparents/great grandparents (There are 13, and 12 came...yeah.) along with DJ and I's siblings (DJ's sister and my 4 sibs). I had so much fun with it. We had a pasta bar with garlic bread for lunch, and DJ and I made-from scratch I must add-raspberry cheesecake cupcakes. Sure they fell apart a little, but they were delish, I must say!
December
Jack's 2nd Christmas was so much fun! He still doesn't understand it, but we were able to see his reactions to new toys, and help him open presents. Maybe we had more fun than he did, but he got a lot of fun toys from all his grandparents! He is so lucky to have so many people who love him!

Well, I am going to get into New Years stuff in another post. I'll let you breathe, I guess. But I do want to add a few things: DJ is still at his same job and really working so hard! He will have his bachelors degree by July (We're hoping at least!) and has been working so hard at that also. Jack is walking! He has his little wobbly walk that I just love (I will put up some videos of when he first started--it happened over night I swear!) He says "Hi" but still laughs at us when we want him to say anything on command. Jeez. But really, we lucked out. He is such a laid back little boy who is always happy and bubbly and never fails to make us smile. We love our little family and our fun life together - we are very very lucky to have everything we do and to have each other!
